I've searched and searched for the answer to my problems. Whenever I open the door, the alarm goes off, I leave it for it to 30s to go off, turn the ignition on and it goes of again. But after it silences turn the key and nothing, it's like the alarm is active but not sounding (immobiliser probably - didn't even know it had this) what's different when I left it last time I forgot to disconnect the battery and it was flat on arrival today.

My laptop has died so I don't have access to RAVE, because the battery went flat is some weird process to resetting it? Something like face east, disconnect one terminal, do the conga and disconnect the other.

My key fob isn't working, so is there something I can do in the meantime whilst I order another?

I dont know if its possible to turn alarm off without the remote.
Do you know whats wrong with the remote? They're pretty simpe so perhaps worth taking apart and checking for broken solder joints etc

She's a '93 3.9 Vogue SE, in terms of the remote I put a new battery in it and the LED doesn't come on I tried the 10s press and hold and had no response.

The remote is really simple inside, like a couple of chips, the led and the battery. My remote packed up like yours and it was just the battery holder solder joint had broken. Well worth a look if you're remotely practical.

Sorry to revive an old thread, but recently I've not had much free time to play with my Rangie,my problems still persist, the fob, I think has had it. All solder connections look good and I've even tried 2 other batteries and still nothing, problem is seen as the alarm is armed as soon as I give the battery any power am I able to sync a new remote to it? I know the simple solution would be to rip the f**cker out, but I don't want to lose my central locking. So the question being can I sync a new fob up to it (even if it involves the daft stand on one leg facing east while the sun is at mid height routine) or can it be by- passed (not much crime around here so I'd just use a clutch claw or some similar device)

Ta muchly
