Clanking dound

Hi guys on my fl1 when I go through a hump there is a clanking sound from the rear right side.....or when I drive through a pot hole.....what could it be and how best can I fix this...thanx

It could be anything, but common issues are worn shocks, broken springs or worn bushes.

Could also be a broken bolt bracket for the subframe.

Mine used to knock at the back over bumps. Turned out to be the strut top mount.

My knocking at the rear is caused by buggered axles!

Mine was an exaust hanger, cheapest fix I've ever had.
