My Wife keeps asking "what do you want for Christmas?" my reply... all singing.. all dancing Diagnostic tool or software for my L322 and anything else that comes a long! Problem is, she doesn't have £500-1000 to spend on me, nearer £150. What can you get in this price range which isn't just a very basic OBD2? Many reviews and raves about "must have" readers and Android compatible kit.... then you see the prices, imagine they would be good at that price, too much for this mere mortal!

I'd ask for the IID BT, although with a £150 budget, it's well out of reach.

There are loads of cheap Chinese clone diagnostic tools (Wow being one) on the market. For about £30 you can get something that's useful, but obviously not as feature packed as the IID.

Already got a cheap OBD2 reader which has served me well for a few years. There must be something £100-200 for the home Mechanic, just couldn't justify £400+ for the rare times I might need to do a scan. Is there any software which can be had within this budget?

Best to ask in the range rover section of the forum.
Wanted to cast a wider net, I own quite a few vehicles and change them on a regular basis, so could do with recommedations for a general reader etc.. which would work with L322, Discos and Freelander. As remarked in my first post, I have listened to model specific groups.

Cheapest place to buy an IID is on the Disco3 forum in the link below in the group buy section:

Wifey bought me an icarsoft LR2 reader off fleebay.... I managed to intercept it before it went under the tree, she also made the mistake of buying on my account and using my card, doh! Anywho, at £136 it is a bargain for home mechanics, saved myself a fortune on diagnostics and needless parts and time... it has identified my gearbox fault and sorted my parking aids, spent ages taking bumpers off and checking wires as all the sensors where clicking away merrily. Yes the icarsoft is cheap and cheerful but it seems to do the job and more... will see if it works on my Volvo T5 and VW?
