Choke Cable

How easy are they to put back in? i want the origional back on so i can have it back to normal, i've already broke one aftermarket one too and i need the dashboard space for some 12v sockets

just gaffa tape some wire to the old one and pull out. Then use the wire to guide the new one through the wiring and the bulkhead grommet

I did mine by taping the new cable to the old before pulling it through ..

little late for that

in that case you might have to pull the instruments forwards so you can see where you are threading it

fook, me dash panel only comes out about 4 inches, gonna have to take it half apart

that should be enough. the choke cable should be stiff enough for you to steer it through the maze of wiring.

hope so cant even see the bulkhead grommit, i suppose if i undid some of the wires on the left side of the dash panel it'll help

have yu tried pushing a piece of thick wire through from the bulkhead side and then duct taping the choke cable to it when yu can see it from in the cab?

nope, dont have a new one yet, but that sounds like the best idea when i do get it. nice one daft

Series III dash boards - what a plasticky load of **** they are. Land-Rover took a wrong turn when they dropped the no nonsense metal dashboard of the IIA.

I feed the outer of the old cable back though from the engine bay and put the wire of the new in that, then it was dead easy to guide the new though.....
