Choices - which one to keep?!

Currently in a bit of a dilemma - now if it was upto the hubby we would keep them all but can only keep one. We have a hybrid series 1 with a 300tdi, I would love this if it was a little more original looking but to put it bluntly it has been butchered! We also have a S3 with a perkins prima. Now I love this, one of my fave engines and it goes really well.
What would you choose out of interest.......

I love series ones but which gives the least trouble ? There are days when enough tinkering has been done and you want to drive the thing.

series 1 just because its a series 1 Could always restore it properly in future (can be done, takes a lot of work though )

I would go with the old one too especially if it has a full synchro box, the gearbox on my s1 is a veritable pita how "butchered" is it?

s1's look far cooler than any other series imho

S1 should probably be on a "Q" plate anyway, and whilst it may be better on coils apparently a few hybrids have been impounded recently... If it's got enough point to keep its identity, just used for trialling, or you're going to restore it on a repro chassis at some point then keep the 1! If not then I'd keep the 3...
