Hi there...

Im looking at swapping the rear axle on my 300 tdi with a 200 tdi axle.....
so that i can fit a 2 uj 200 prop shaft instead of the crap rubber SGF coupling that keeps wearing out in no time!

Have found complete 200 rear axle for 80 quid but;

-is the ABS system the same on the 200 version?
-diff ratio the same? (3.54:1)
-is the brake system the same?

Anyone done this???

THANKS :)

Johno

Thanks

yep some 200tdi's did have abs. i just dunno how different the system is from the 300tdi?

All i want to do is just have an effing 2 uj prop on the back instead of this **** rubber coupling design.... which idiot thought of swapping a uj for a rubber lump????

Give Rimmer Bros a ring. Just checking out part numbers, and the V8's use the same propshaft (FRC8387) as the 200 TDi versions. Surely in the parts bin there will be a prop with HS UJ's the correct length to fit a 300/TD5 with R380?

Thanks take5,

the 300 axle flange is 3 bolts for the rubber coupling and 4 bolts for 200 2 uj prop shaft

I have a 200 prop but require a 200tdi axle pinion housing that will have a 4 bolt flange on it ( or just a whole 200 tdi axle).

Alos the 4 bolt 200 flange is shorter than the 3 bolt 300 flange....coz the 200 prop shaft is longer than the 300 prop shaft

Comprende?
