Chequer Plate

Morning comrades ....
Can some one linky me to some good quality wing top chequer plate stuff ...really fed up of leaning on me wings to look at maps and cut cake and finding yet another dent:doh: Would prefer black but it's gotta be nice quality ...any pearls of wisdom out there?

No my mammouth is quite fine as he is ...ees tough see and don't need chequer plating ..:scratching_chin:

That's the ones I have and I've been very happy with them. They have been on for almost a year, with no signs of fading or scratching, even though I've spent quite a lot of time climbing all over them.

Were they from paddocks?
Where we live in a tree filled valley , everything goes green -including silver chequer plate , so I think black would look better for longer

PM651B | Defender Full Length Wing Top Protectors (pair)- black - no hole for aerial

Rebel 4x4 have been very reliable for me.

Ahh yes they look nice in black , I've got an arial , no I'll rephrase that , I've got part of an arial I shall have a look on their website thanks for the pics .

See it doesn't make a whole lot of sense when folks just quote random banana words without explaining what they mean newspaper

I have been looking at the chequer plate body for my discovery 1 as there is some oxidation that I would like covering up! Would this stop it getting worse?

NO but it will stop you having to look at it.. :doh: Why would anyone think that just hiding a corrosion problem will make it go away. ?? If that was the case we'd all have hidden the missus years ago...

I was thinking of treating it first obviously haha, but would it still just spread after time even if treated and covered?

Depends where it is and whether the corrosion is working it's way from the inside out

I don't know how to put a pic on here from my mobile, but its on the rear quarter panel at the bottom it's not that big hence why I want it gone ASAP!
