Checking pressure air suspension

I have a TD5 with rear air suspension and the back end is very choppy, almost as though driving with over inflated tyres. I have tried reducing the rear tyre pressure but it doesn't really make any difference.

Is it possible to check whether the airbags are inflated to the correct pressure? If so how?

Also any other suggestions to a likely cause. The rear shock absorbers have recently been renewed with Land Rover originals.

Thanks

not sure about airbag pressure but i'm fairly sure there are different shocks depending on if you have ace? were correct ones fitted?
also if old shocks were very worn it could be the ride is now as is should be but you were used to the old shocks

Andy, there is no ace. The part number is RPD000190 and the end of the vin is 4A****** so it appears it is the correct part.

There must be some way of checking the airbag pressure

I can't see the air bag pressure being your problem, the compressed air is only feed in/out of the air bag to adjust the ride height, if the rear ride height is correct then the system is working.

A choppy ride would only be caused by the shock absorbers not controlling/damping body bounce, the only other things that would affect it would be tyre pressures and the suspension bushes condition..
