Check Trailer lightss?? L322

i have an 04 L322 and i fitted a landrover towbar
the wiring and sockets came with the towbar
when i plug my caravan into the back i get the message
CHECK TRAILER LIGHTS flash up on the dash
i also get the back tail lights flashing???
has anyone had this happen??
i have checked all the bulbs and fuses and the plugs ???
can anyone help???

have you/can you try a different trailer? maybe a neighbours or friends. i have known caravans/trailers to be wired up a bit dodgy sometimes.

obviously if you have had the caravan a while then the above is prolly irrelevant. might be worth hooking each up to different opposites to see where the problem is tho!

does it say anything in rave cd about the wiring, might be worth checking it all!

It will be either water in the plug socket or bad earths on the lights and everywhere else. Worn plug and socket sometimes cause it.
try splaying the pins a bit with a screwdriver so as to get better contact between plug and socket.
