I bought a cheap £12.79 brake bleeding kit and used it today with poor results. Hooked it up to my compressor but it drew little fluid out. Bled the brakes the traditional way with my daughter at the pedal and then finished off with the Lynx so I could bleed the ABS modulators. This worked fine and then used it to bleed at the wheels. It pushed through the fluid very effectively.

Afterwards I trialled the cheap vacuum bleeder just sucking up the old fluid from a bottle on the floor. It drew up the fluid no problem so it looks like the seal at the bleed nipple wasn't good. What can be used to aid sealing? I tried a bit of grease.

I had to bleed the ABS modulator with the Lynx diagnostic as I had taken the ABS block off.

Doesn't make any difference if its abs or not. Changed dozens of abs pumps/blocks/modules/pipes they all bleed just fine. I know most diagnostics have abs bleed routines...but the really are not needed :) Leave all the bleed nipples open and have a cup of tea. job done

Finally got around to bleeding then again and the PTFE tape on the thread worked a treat. Although still not impressed with the pneumatic vacuum bleeder - got my daughter out to work the pedal!

I threw mine away years ago, what I have found quite good is the little short silicone pipe with a slit in it, but even then I always find an assistant gets the last fo the air out.
Best of all I like asking the missus as it annoys her!
