Aye let him sort it. Then send him a solicitors letter asking him why he's altered your property and that you do not intend to transfer ownership of said boundary fence.

Think a solicitors letter would be wasted and cost money-ie he really is that thick.
Seeing as he has given me land and not taken it-i'm inclined to do nothing

I can't decide whether your neighbour is a well-wishing philanthropist or a screaming headcase...either way there shouldn't be a problem unless one of you moves...then a civil dispute frenzy could ensue.

LIVED next door to same people for 23 years the hubby was pal\work collegue,he dies ,5 yrs later fence blows over ,i starts putting it back up only to be told " its my chuffin fence leave it alone" ooooo no problem sez i ,so get some scaffold poles ,bang em into ground ,strings wire,puts up second hand tennis netting ,job done my dogs are safe ,the years go by ,shes had fence mended but blows down again ,eeeee its expensive to get mended do you fancy going halves ,errr no thanks my fence is ok ,thank you very much,,,,,she,s playing hell to her daughter about that bastard next door ,her daughter sez you shouldnt be such a loud mouth mam and dave would have mended the fence. THE daughter told the wife it cost her £600 to renew the fence,my scaffold pole and wire is right as rain thanks ,no cresote,no painting,no bracing, no maintenance whatever,best favour ever done me by a neighbour.....thanks ...dave
