well ive just bought it and im just looking at what im tackling cos half of wires do nothing and 5 gauges dont work and chassis is badly repaired and theres s**t loads of gunk on and a few more holes to patch

how much can a chassis be repaired before it gets to weak ?

I am assuming you are referring to the MOT test? Each MOT station seems to apply their own interpretation of the guidelines, my local one (which handles a large volume of farmer owned) will not pass a vehicle which has had more than 20% of the original patched or repaired, also any repair must be 'let into' and match the original profile of the chassis..............so my recent purchase of a 1980 series III with MOT from south of England will now have to be fitted with a new chassis despite previous and current MOT not containing any advisory comments, despite the appalling condition of the patching and the body-filler hanging out of the front section.Buyer beware indeed.
