Hi im new here and i got a question about discovery 1 chassis, right are all discovery 200 and 300 tdi chassis the same eg 3 door and 5 door, and if there are and differences what are they? hope you can help cheers

There are minor differences between 200 and 300 versions due to engine and gearbox mountings , but in terms of 3 and 5 door they are identical.

hahaha i know mpi are useless :doh: but ive got a mint bare chassis and im doin a full rebuild with a v8 ive got thats all just need to know differences cheers

I can't see any reason why not - you'll almost certainly need to change the engine mounts.
long long time ago since I saw an mpi(shame) but if you look there is an alloy adapter on mpi engine to mate to gearbox.
I think that behind that is a standard v8 bell housing, but Ashcroft transmissions would be able to tell you more. Autodata tells me a 3.5 v8 is 153-164hp and 2.0 136hp, so I'm guessing ratio in box may be lower.
