chassis numbers?

hi all,have bought a 300tdi disco recently.this morning i got a letter from dvla saying that this vehicle needs a vic check,and that i wont get my logbook till this has been done. what i want to know is does the disco have a chassis number stamped into the chassis anywhere?? if so does any body know where it should be??

I bought a Mondy earlier in the year and had to have a vic test done, it's just a identity check.

The VOSA website will let you download the form and notes, you book in the test, pays your money and they give you a time and a place.
