I have a 1986 C Reg 90 and I cant find the chassis number on the chassis. I have looked between the steering box bolts and it is not there. Am I looking in the right place? It is so old I guess it could have a different chassis. Can you tell me exactly where to look for it if it is a 90 chassis, if it is an older or newer one where it could be? It has been waxolied so exact locations would be helpful as I will have to scrape off waxoil!

It is usually found in the top left had side of the engine bay (Looking front on). Mine is a small plate just behind the 'brake servo' pot rivvitted on!
I have the one on the servo but not on the chassis. It should be stamped on. One guy who wants to buy it wants to export it. Any ideas how to get one stamped on or can I just rivet a plate like the servo one. Thoughts? I need to find the number or put one one legally! ;-) It MUST be on the chassis.
