HI all again i'm looking at spending many hours in the garage this weekend, where to buy and what is the best paint or rust replient (im in Sittingbourne kent). i need to get moving with this now it needs to be back on the road by sept, as got a another project on the why?

Many thanks

On a previous motor I have used a rotary wire brush (one with a threaded hole in the middle) fitted to an angle grinder to take the chassis back and remove the crustie bits then red lead primered the whole lot followed by a good couple of coats of waxoil. All these bits can be purchaced from any decent motor outlet. Unfortunatly I know longer own the vehicle so I cant give you a report on the long term protection.

ok i took it back with a 80 grit paper on a angle grinder knackerin work but it did work then red oxide primered it then hammerite black smooth x2 coats and then 2 coats of waxoyl that was ok and has just had a top up of waxoyl
