Hi all, is this a big job in a 200tdi?
I have the new stat ready to go in, but I am pretty reliant on the defender for the next few weeks as my other car is rear wheel drive and awful in the ice, and I am very busy doing approx 100 miles a day.
I might have a go at it tomorrow, I have all the tools, but no haynes book or anything, can anybody give me any advice? I suppose I will have to drain the whole coolant system? I have no idea how to do that.
The reason for doing it is an attempt to improve a virtually non existent heater, I have muffled the rad, not much improvement, but the guage never goes up, never has, so I suspect maybe dodgy stat?
Appreciate any advice before I don arctic clothes and frozen tools tomorrow.
