You can make the beam pattern non illegal by rotating the sealed beam unit, you just have to make a notch for the tab on the glass in the new position, I've done this on a couple of bikes, it works but the beam isnt great.
Can you not find a local landy in a scrapper?
The previous owner of my landy put non sealed beam headlights in, they use H4 bulbs and there are no ridges in the glass fron, just a clear flat piece of glass, I think its sposed to look modern, but looks crap on a 70's landy.

At that price it's worth getting the proper units - two sets so you can carry a spare (isn't this a requirement in France?) I can get rhd units at near trade and they're not much cheaper than this. Dr Pepper - one of the conversions just replaces the reflectors and leaves the bowls in place so refitting sealed beam units is easy. You might get lucky.......

I assumed with the bowls being plastic that they are part of the conversion, as I'd not expect placcy on a vehicle of this age.
Might stick em on eblag, see if they cover the cost of a pair of newuns.

Plastic bowls are not uncommon as replacements 'cos the metal ones turn to dust - I've got plastic ones on mine.
