Changing Disco R380 to fit Defender tunnel

Thinking of changing top of gearbox so gearlever is in correct place for defender, ( pressure from rivet counters)
How hard is it ?

I have the top off defender gearbox with gearsticks and need to buy parts from Ashcrofts

Just like to know if anyone has done it and how fiddly is it

Absolute doddle mate, buy the quadrant and selector shaft extension from ashcrofts, follow the guidelines set by them, and the defender top drops straight back onto the disco box. It's what's in mine and works a treat, even though the box has done 160k plus.
I've got a picture of it on my phone I'll stick up for you in a bit.

The late lamented Dr Evil had some post about making his own adapter somewhere on here. You need a lathe though.
