Hey all, been a while!

I'm going to look at a Discovery tomorrow. It's currently classed as limited use, I just want to check that there are no issues reclassifying it as PLG (or whatever).

Fanks in advance.

just go to the post office. once its mot'd it will just get changed over when you tax it. you'll need to fill in a form and send off your v5. its only a problem when your trying to go from plg to limited use or agri. you have to do that at the dvla (which has now all closed so its a post job now)

limited use is free tax designed for vehicle not normally used on the road.
you can use red diesel, no mot. but can only be driven 1.5km from land to land. very grey area. dvla and vosa are very unsure or unwilling to give out the info of what the real rules are regarding limited use and agri.

That is correct. I know someone who drives a unimog all over the country on red diesel with no MOT requirement taxed as limited use for forestry. He never gets stopped and has been doing it for years but he's really only supposed to be driving within a short distance of his base. I don't think the coppers have got a clue what the rules are.

"Limited Use is Tax exempt for disabled I think "

naw if its for disabled you get tax class "disabled" my discos on disabled classification. id change it if it wasnt sorn destined for the scrap yard - ive never had it on the road.
