I removed an annoying Parrot bluetooth kit that had been installed in the car before I got it yesterday along with the crap Sony headunit.

The Parrot has a loom that fits in the original car stereo wiring, and that's pretty much it, so it came out, and I fitted then new headunit and now I HAVE NO INSTRUMENT LIGHTS APART FROM THE SRS.

Also the rev counter, speedo do not work, the fuel gauge does try to work though and the engine temp tries too! Very odd.

The HVAC also flickers.

Car starts fine, so don't think it's the battery.

Any ideas?

I had the same thing with an old 94HSE I once owned! You have blown fuse No 1 whilst changing your head unit! It is the only one that doesn't show up as blown on the message centre! It's in the fuse box below the drivers seat, top row to the rear, 10A! Hope this helps.
