Hi
Disco 1 ES 1996
I have purchased some new green bulbs from landrover as some of the illuminated switches to the left and right of the dash such as radio up/down, r/window wiper no longer glow, My question is how do you take these switches out to replace the bulbs ie do they pull out with a bit of force or do you have to take the large cowling covering the dash out and attack from behind? Also should the overhead switches for the twin sunroofs also glow at night? Thanks in advance Bedlow

they pull out from the front - but take care - usually yu pull the tops off. the rear bit also tends to fall orf - and its a bugger to fit back.

you will find 4 tiny philips screws, two from underneath and two near the speedo glass, with these out you can lift the plastic and get your hand behind the switches. They do push out as already said, but its easier with help from behind. Also, you can disconect the wire plug from the switch, the bulb is actualy in the plug part...

if ya kill em i got some spare.
they will also only go into the hole they come out of as they have 'lugs' to ensure you cant put them in the wrong hole. :) if ya use a very small flat blade screw driver they can be pulled and eased out very easily.
