Freelander 1 Centre silencer replacement

Hi all, the genuine centre silencer on my 2004 TD4 auto is going to need replacing v. soon & I see the cat is part of it. As the cat looks fine do most people just replace the centre muffler part & connect it to the original cat ?
I see Bosal & Vegaz do centre sections (w/o cat) & BM Exhausts do one which incls. the cat for not much more but is only Euro 2. Any recommendations out there ?

I'd just replace it with a straight piece of pipe of a suitable size, but you can also use a universal silencer of suitable dimensions.
