Please forgive me if this is poor form, but I am new here.

I'm searching for the dimensions of the underseat tool tray for the centre seat in a Series 3. I want to fold one up myself. (I'm in New Zealand and postage on a tray out of the UK is pretty serious).

Could anyone who has one, please run a tape over it for me? Obviously the key dimensions are the depths at each corner, as the shape of the hole at the top will dictate the size of the overall footprint.

Thanks very much
Andrew

I did have one at one time,it was quite shallow, only enough room for a few items. You just have to have enough clearance above the gearbox/transferbox. It was nothing fancy, just a flat bottom.

I made a deeper version awhile back pics attached one with some internal dimensions.
When I 1st finished it was catching gearbox so had shorten a little.
When I next get my landrover out probably later today will final depth outer measurement for you.

Measurements in pdf attached.
The lower end which is the front the lip is slightly greater than 90 degrees whether this helps placing it in or not I would not know as I was bending everthing between two lengths of angle iron.

Hey thanks heaps for that guys. Absolutely perfect.
I'd have measured something up myself but for the fact that the seat box and gearbox currently are about 10 m apart in my basement......
I'll get folding!

I know you're making the centre seat tray Kiwi but this thread reminded me of this old LRO article from back in the day, "Replace your underseat toolbox".

Thanks for that. I've just cut my LH tray off because I'm fitting a second tank under the passenger seat. Mine was in remarkably good condition, so I may stick it on Trade Me. It'd be a good replacement for someone whose tray has rotted out.
