Centre Console Side Panels

P38 DHSE Auto

According to RAVE you remove 2 screws and slide the side panel down, so far so good, then it say's "release sprag clips from fascia switch pack"
I can't find the sprag clips, it would help if I knew what I was looking for, so I can't get the side panels off.
Just want to get at the clock as it's 3.5 hours fast and the adjuster button does not work. Bloody annoying but I don't want to break anything in the process of getting at it.
Anyone know the trick

It is not possible to reach up from the stereo cut-out if you pull the stereo out first? I can't remember how hollow it is in there, but might be worth a try!

brute force, look for the seam, pull in oposige ditections

Thanks for the link, that page didn't help but a link at the bottom of the page you gave covering blend motor and other work gave a very good description of how it comes apart. Thanks again

you have to remove screws, and then push/slide the panel in the direction of the rear wheels, almost like 45 degrees. There used to be a video on youtube, on how to replace the blend motors which had a video showing how to remove the side console panels.Cant seem to find it right now.

The slide to the back is shown in RAVE, no problem with that but the panel will still not come off. Going to try the method shown on Rangerovers.net today

hi ifound that if you remove the window switch pack the side panels move back a lot easier !

Following the guide on Rangerovers.net I got the side panel off, the with the LH side of the instrument switch housing unscrewed and the radio removed I was able to fiddle the clock out. Fixing the clock took 5 minutes, it was just the contact for time adjustment was deformed. One more job done!

I had trouble gettin the side panels off. I have taken out the fixing screws (2 one under steering an one next to the seat) but the panel doesnt seem to want to move as if it attached under the cubby box thing.

Any help??
