Central Locking

Hi everyone, Im a bit stuck on my central locking problem. It all started a few months back when my passenger door wouldn't open using the central locking but would open using the key? Ive changed the actuator and put it in various positions to see if that helps but alas it doesn't and now the drivers door has gone the same way I've also swapped that actuator with 1 that was working properly but heh hog exactly the same, i can open it with the key but not via the central locking. anybody's help in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Disco 2? They just go, so eBay and get another lol ot if anyone knows how to fix them let Mr know as I have a few in the shed

Disco 1, and they seem to be moving in and out???

Just fixed mine, same problem, turned out to be broken springs (get them off the net cheap) and needed a good greasing up.

look on a well known online auction site, search for discovery 1 lock springs

They are right fiddly to fit, and I took ages getting it back together becuase I forgot which rods fit which arms etc. Taking pics is a good idea. There are guides on here, its not difficult just fiddly. And give it a good shot of a decent sticky grease like HD ultra before refitting.
