My RRC has the central locking from a 1984 4-door model. The four doors lock by turning the key in either of the two front doors. Has anyone tried upgrading this system to remote central locking using standard Range Rover parts, say from a later model?

that would surely be a headache.

I fitted an aftermarket alarm, with a remote locking function, and it worked just fine.

You can just fit a remote locking kit if you don`t want to alarm it up
