Hi all from the newbie

I have just bought a 2003 5 door Freelander to replace a worn out Disco.
It was cheap so came with some problems.
On unlocking with the fob only one door unlocks and its not the drivers. though they will all relock afterwards from the fob.
Does this mean all solenoids are working or can they refuse to work in one direction only. It is the same from the central locking switch.
I cant comment on how it works with the key yet as it wont go in the lock barrel which has been screwdrivered at some point.

Also both rear side windows refuse to open regardless of of the locking switch position. but I would like to sort the locks out first to save me climbing in the back.

Any input very much appreciated.

Replaced 3 solenoid units today at great cost and all central locking is working. Good news is the key goes in the door lock as it was just a damaged dust cover which fell of during solenoid replacement, Just need 2 regulators for the back passenger windows now as they are both buggered and the previous owner or dodgy trader had disconnected the plugs behind the door cards. Turning out to be an expensive purchase.

Welcome to the world of Freelanders! Lol

Can someone please confirm from the picture below that the vehicle I have is actually a Land Rover Freelander?

I was told it was when I bought it, but it doesn't go wrong, so think I've been sold a dud - I think its probably the same make as the car in the back ground. Its also great for meeting really good looking birds, which sounds a bit incompatible with Land Rovers.
