hi all, i got the p38 running all well appart from oil leak and abs accumulator fauly, and the central locking,
i have no working keyfobs, when i use the key to unlock sometimes more often than not no other doors unlock just the drivers, they are all superlocked shut, if say eventually i get the central locking to work via the drivers door lock once open the door all the locks click down again like someone is pushing the lock button on keyfob, i reckon it must be the sensor that reads the keyfob, anyone got any ideas on this ?

im sure the drivers lock is ok, do you no if the rf receiver can be bypassed?

tricky things rr electrics, not to be messed around with too much, get remotes working then get the vehicle to recognise remote, the door locks can be troublesome,(micro switches) check wiring in drivers door as well for
any dodgy wires, mine had a break in a wire in the drivers door and would lock itself on door closure or if i opened the tailgate the locks would go down.

i see so should i really try get the keyfobs working 1st ? i was going back to basics, maybe i should take the plunge and buy a new door latch ? or check wireing in door

Check no wires caffing, usual suspect is where loom goes from body into the door. If not there then there's prolly loose/poor connection on door outstation.

someone may come along now and say you don't need the remotes working, but i think it is all linked in with the alarm system, i shall sit back and wait for more info.:tea:
