They have an in built speaker and do have an aux out for an extra speaker.

get a small external speaker at the very least, the one in the unit is 1. too small, and 2 pointing the wrong way so its hard to hear if its mounted under the dash.
I have a small dash speaker on the top of my dash, so I can actually hear it.

Ah. Thanks both. Aiming to get two of those triangular little ones for either end of the dash, mount a stereo under the dash and cb by knees.
