Can anyone recommend a good stater kit for the 90 please? Am fitting a stereo for the forst time so makes sense to get all the wiring done at once. Anything I won't want to upgrade as soon as I get to grips with it will do, so long as it makes me look like Burt Reynolds, obviously.

That looks great. Thanks very much. Only thought is I use the 90 to go to the station every day and it sits in the car park (and it's a soft top). presume these folk do secure brackets as well. Will have a hunt through their site, looks great at first glance.

Just trying to choose between long and short aerials. Is the short one useless, or okay? Long (61") one looks no good for a vehicle on the road every day. Any thoughts?

Depends where you mount the aerial - on the roof a short one might be better, mine is a very long aerial and is mounted on the wing - get a good range with it too.

No roof sadly (soft top), so wing seems best. Think I've chosen a package from your man, with free short aerial and a dome mount on the n/s wing I reckon. You're a gent, ta.

Don't forget to buy a SWR meter as you will need one to set it up properly and prevent you from blowing the transmitter crystal with a high SWR

Ah, should probably have read this before ordering, which I've just done. :suspicious:

Still, the starter kit should have everything I need to get going, no?

Yes it will - you could always phone him up and get him to add one on to your order - thats what i did when i forgot something ........

Nice 1 - Have a read through the info on the site about installing it and setting it up, loads of guys on here have cb's fitted so if you get stuck ASK

You will get better reception with a longer ariel I have one on my disco its fine hear it twang the odd branch now and again.

Ok, daft question probably

Why does everyone on here use CBs. We had some fun with them before they were legal, but never had one since. Thought only the truckers used them these days.

Am I missing something

Very useful when out laning with others........and truckers are always willing to pass on traffic info

Just had a thought. This thing will run through the car stereo speakers no? Won't have its own? Thicko here forgot he doesn't have any. To eBay and beyond!
