CB aerial/antennas Fixings

Afternoon gents,

Found a CB in the cubby box of my lightweight wired it all in etc, but the fibreglass aerial was broken. So I got on Ebay and bought "any old thing" an ex military CB aerial (1m).

Fixings dont match up :doh: been looking around, but i dont know what i need!

can anyone help. Willing to buy a new mount, got the standard looking cable for the feed.

the plugs at the end of the cable are pl259, where do you live as im sure that you can get 1 local ie halfords it would be easy and cheaper to buy a complete ariel, the PL259will fit the cb and the end of the ariel aswell any truck stop would sell them or vehicle accesory shop,

I think its a PL type. so I need a PL mount to PL259 for the cable. Sounds about right. I knowwhat your saying about buying a new aerial but i allready got this now!
