Carling switches help please

Hi got a little problem can anyone help me as to why the switch switches when you flick the switch uphill?? My heated screen switch is as it should but that is a rocker the other is just on off??
Any help is much appreciated

I've wired it up exact to the wiring diagram there is only four terminal to the back of it

That's the same as my arb switches, push the top in for on,

I would imagine you could remove the front cover and rotate the switch 180' and refit the front,

you can rotate the front and the switch but then the lights are wrong so you have to swap the wires round too, but it can be done i've got my arb ones working like that

Thanks for the info guys are they prone for breaking when taking them in bits?
Can't understand why they would sell them this way to be honest it just looks wrong

top pops off easily, no need to open the internals
