Carling Fog OFF-MOM Switch wiring

trying to wire my fog lamps properly with a Carling Fog off-MOM switch and relay. When I press the mom switch the fogs come on when I let go the fogs go off. Do I need a specific relay (latching) or am I just wiring incorrectly. Does anybody have a wiring diagram utilising the carling off-MOM switch?

Why are you using a momentary switch? Surely a Off-On would be what you use?

You could try using a toggle relay but it would probably be cheaper to get the right switch.

Apparently, the genuine LAnd Rover switch is also momentary and that is what Carling is emulating. Yup.....wish I had just gone for the on-off switch, but when you see an article advertised as a fog switch.........

I just want to know how to wire the carling switch and related relay should be wired to make it work.

You either need the proper switch or a latching relay of some sort. I know if it was me I'd return the switch and get a proper on/off one.

What age defender?
TDCI I beleive is a mom switch, not sure on the TD5, earlier is deffo just a rocker switch.

I did this on my import s2000 you need a latching relay off eBay, then the fog will go off if the ignition is turned off or sidelights turned off
