hi there, all i can see on ebay for repairing the cardan joint on a defender/disco 2 front prop shaft is a kit which costs between 60 and 80 quid,

my disco 1 is raised 6 inches and so it shreds normal prop shafts,

iv got a cardan prop shaft but it needs rebuilding, so any ideas ?

my first thought was that it may be possible to replace cardan joint with 2 normal ujs ? would that work ?

thanks a lot

Luke

You can fix them easily with 2 standard uj bearing kits but when you pull it apart don't loose any of the rollers in the center piece
