Hi all, My carb on my s1 has always been a pain in the a*s,
. It has always had a flat spot of varying degrees, I sent it off and had it overhauled and it was little better. It seems that the accelerator pump is just not working as it should, the other strange thing is that if I leave it for a few days the carb will be empty but i cant see any leaks a new carb is a lot of money, so i ordered a webber for the 2.25 engine, It now runs better than it ever has, The carb is probably a little small for a series 2 or 3 but seem great on a series 1.

Sounds like a good job, take it yours is a 2lt motor. I have also thought webber a bit small for the 2.25 and may restrict top end a bit, however its a good alternative for general use.

I found my weber great and trouble free. No loss of power I could tell. They are quality carbs.
