car wont start !!!

After you lot solving the battery drain problem i had i now find myself with a new problem. When certain vehicles, eg lorries etc, are parked near my car they block the signal so i can unlock my car with the key-fob which means the engine is immobilized. I have to wait till the vehicle has gone. Has anyone else had this and what is the answer?

hi mate i have had the same problem
i have found that some big phone arials near buy does the same thing, i have to unlock with the key and go though the door code lock to get the car to start
just dont park in the same place if you can
 
in the book that comes with the car there are instuctiond on how to override the alam and start the car , this involes turning the key in the door bothway and then opening the car and starting the engine
you should have to code in the book mine been stamped into my book next to the radio code
 
again, it sounds very much like the RF receiver in the back, change this and your problems will dissapear with a bit of luck although you will be £150 worse off!

Have you tried standing by the rear most window (drivers side) with the key almost touching the vehicle and trying to unlock then, does that help??

i changed the rf receiver only a couple of months ago. i dont have any problem with battery drain now.
