Hi all,
I had to take my KV6 Freelander back to the shop again, on a car crane this time.

After a long trip, in my way back home my Freelander started losing acceleration-power, at the beginning I thought it was something wrong with the Titonic gearbox because it couldn't shift to the next gear, switched it back to manual and figured out the gears were ok but the acceleration mechanism was having problems, the car couldn't accelerate to more than 3k rpms.

After a mile with that problem, the car just stoped and I counldn't start it back again. (I thought of the gas pump inmediatelly). After I pulled the car out of the roundabout (nice place to get stock -huh? ) I tried to start it again and it started just fine! like nothing would ever happended to it, same great acceleration -no problem at all.

Next day.. same history, started losing power while driving in the high-way but this time the car just turned off and stopped in the middle of the road:confused: - I coldn't started it this time so I had to call the road service and take it to the shop.

As soon as we got the car off the crane -it started just fine, the guys at the shop measured the gas preassure from the gas pump and it was perfect, after a while.. the engine just stopped... we scanned it but no error codes were listed in the scanner. I thought of a problem with the electrical system that drives the gas pump (not really familiar with it) as the problem shows itself pretty much as a shotcut. Now we just don't know where to go from here.

No error codes in the scanner, gas pump preasure is fine when it starts. The car just turns itself-off and stops working randomly.

Have any of you guys faced a nasty problem like this? or do you know of something we might want to check? I am running into desperation as we don't know what else could be happening so any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks a lot in advance. :)
JP.
