Just got back from Sal in Cape Verde.
Not that many Landys about, mainly newish pickups. Thomson have a herd of new Defenders and the doctor had a leaf-sprung newish looking Sanatana but the best is what looks like a hybrid Series III. Thats not hybird as in engines or springs, just that everything that has rusted away has been replaced by plywood!
Must be a bugger keeping one in trim over there as the whole island is basically a big salt-pan....
It still runs as I saw it zipping around a bit. Not sure what engine's in there.
Still, puts my worrying about dodgy welding into perspective!
