as the title says, im looking for the part number for the IRD mount for the TD4, 53 plate, but all i can find is the part number for the 1.8 IRD mount. are they different?

If this mount is knackered, how much extra pressure will/should/might it put on the diff mounts? I only ask as I have started to get a small bang from the rear diff when doing harsh gearchanges, most noticeably with the caravan on. I know this bang could, and probably is, the early signs of my VCU tightening up.

get underneath the car and grab hold of the nose of the diff and give it a good shake up and down, if you have a good torch you may be able to see if the bush is shot.
These nose mounts tend to be the first thing to go on the diff and cause a knocking under acceleration.
The rear 2 will probably be ok as it's the front one that seems to do all the work.......i have just done mine after the original failed at 70k and LR ones are only about £15.
Theres a couple of ways of changing the front one inc lowering the sub frame or just removing the centre bolts from all of the bushes to give enough room to slip a new one in, there should be a thread on it somewhere

Cheers mate. I will go have a look later. Mine has 70oddK on it, so it may be the same as yours!
Changed the IRD mount, it's nearly stopped the vibration completely!
