Ok so my immobiliser packed up today. Rather my keyfob did. Took fob apart and a little coil fell out of the casing... 3 guesses why thats dead!

Anyway im trying to bypass the immobiliser so my car will start. The fuel cut off isnt affected by the immob for some reason as it still has a 12v feed.

So my next wire is for the starter solenoid... but i cant find the starter motor! Iv looked in the haynes manual but the picture is too zoomed in to get a general location. All it says is on the left of the engine..

For the starter solenoid i need to do two wires yes? One to the fuse board, and one to the white wire behind the ignition switch.

Please correct me anwhere i have gone wrong... and not toooo many **** takes, Cheers

If you open the bonnet and stand at the passenger side looking into the engine bay, below the turbo and towards the bulkhead is the starter ... Easiest way in from the top is to remove the air inlet to turbo pipe and possibly the oil pipe to the turbo, possibly talking the turbo off fully ...

From below it's probably easiest to remove the cold exhaust downpipe ... ;)

Thanks Paul. Took off Turbo air intake and can see it.

From the solenoid feed do i take it to the white wire behind the ign switch?
Or to the fuse board for the starter relay?
Or is either good?

"......run a wire from the starter solenoid (leave the original in place) into the footwell in the drivers side, remove the plastic acess pannel, find the starter relay, find thick brown/red wire and connect into it....."

Don't connect the solenoid directly to the ignition switch cause it's contacts might not stand the strain........locate the relay and if U can't find by eye the exit of it take a multimeter and chech on wich wire comes out the 12V when U turn the ignition and dissapears when U leave it........normally if U look straight to the relay's top it must be the upper right side pin(it's drawn as a 30A open contact)
