Hi
Both the front seat belts in my 98 Disco 300tdi have become stuck. The passenger one has been like this for a week or so and sometimes works fine but other times you have to try repeadedly to pull it out so you can clip yourself in, it'll give you an inch at a time (my missus is used to this ) it you are patient until you have about a foot out and then it's fine.
However the drivers side this afternoon has just stopped entirely. Tried being patient, tried pulling it down as much as I can at the pillar so that I'm feeding it back into the mechanism but it just will not free. I am on a very slight incline, as I understand it that are weighted inside the mechanism to detect if you are on a slope and possible upside down and that sort of thing but as I said I'm on a slight incline so that shouldn't affect it.
Been out in it today to take the dogs out and no problems on the drivers side. Just got in now to go to the shops and it refuses to budge. Do these need a good greasing up or anything (just got a grease gun yesterday after using someone elses to do the wheel bearings one the rear axle and the prop shafts and uj's so looking for an excuse to use it )
Cheers
