Cancer Support Scotland Trip

Certain idea has presented itself, mainly a trip around Scotland with sponsors involved in fund raising for cancer support charities.
Bradford Cancer Support is a main patron, there is a plan to involve McMillan as well. Basically the idea is to drive vehicles around Scotland, including Western Isles, and if there is enough time, Northern ones as well. (Orkneys, Shetlands). The plan is that teams actually pay for their own expenses and that includes ferries and fuel, but provide advertising space on vehicles (detachable stickers, flags etc) for sponsors. Sleeping in vehicles, tents, rooftents etc, camping in wild, whenever possible. Local authorities will be contacted regarding permissions to access local lanes, but unfortunately most of the trip will take place on roads.
The event will take place in August and it should last about two weeks. Obviously not everybody has to stay whole way, if someone can do 3-4 days - it'd still be good. I shall know more details soon. If anyone may be interested, let me know

a often thinks the Charity would receive a shed lot more if peeps just gave the money they would have used buying fuel, food, shelter direct to the Charity - instead of trolling off on these little trips ?

Well possibly, but I think this one will be sponsor based, as people go on some trips paying for the holiday anyways, and having some fun while at it. Not sure about details though yet.
