Hi Everyone.
Would dearly like to know if these are genuine Land/Range Rover locking wheelnut keys please. If so, what were they fitted to and when? Thanks for your help. Mike.

Thanks for your reply RangeRoller dt.

I have the whole set as in the first picture but need to ascertain what it is.
It has a JLR barcode - JLR-204-844 on the rear of the case and may be nothing to do with Jaguar or Land Rover. This does not cross reference with anything on the internet.
The keys are NOT Jaguar but the key in picture 2 is listed on the internet as Range/Land Rover.
Obviously most previous locking nuts/keys for both makes were very similar from the 1990s where the nuts had two slots and were replace by those with domed tops around 2002, the keys having the same shaped recesses for both companies but scaled down smaller for the Jaguars. Some more recent models now have McGard locking nuts and keys.

Currently still a bit of a mystery.

Mike.

Looking on google at the jk72 17a147 aa part they are genuine for land rover range rover i would say late models.

2019 Evoque or Discovery Sport or thereabouts it would appear.
Well done for finding it on Google Brian - it was the way you split the code up - I had no success at all as in the picture above. I agree with you about the Evoque!
Thanks for your help so far. Anyone think they have been used on other models?
Mike.

Add Jaguar E pace to the list and it is complete.
Most models are from 2017 on. My mechanic looked it up for me on his service tools register today.
Apparently the keys have to be specially cut if lost, a service which takes about four weeks and costs £60.
Think that makes my master set quite useful and valuable.
All your help is much appreciated.
Thanks,
Mike.

There are about a dozen different codes. Your ones are UK if I remember.
Good luck with the stealing peoples wheels thing
Or you can make your money back on them by buying new jag, losing the set that comes with it and getting a flat, a few times. :)
Or do the unspeakable and buy an E****

Yes, twenty keys in all of this design, a similar number to the earlier domed type and the very old two slotted ones for Jaguar and Land/Range Rover.
I already had those with the exception of the two slotted design for Land/Range Rover.
No one seems to lose their Land/Range Rover keys except for the RAC, or, at least their employees.
I guess they know how to remove them in such circumstances but also know what a pain it is!
