roof mounted spare wheel carrier brackets? our spare is on the rear door which makes the door rattle and bounce like a kangaroo on acid  the other option of the bonnet mounting means that i won't be able to lift the bonnet and tap about with my spanner looking like i know what i'm doing:p
i have seen a roof rack with a spare wheel bracket on but i don't have a roof rack and neither can i afford one sooooo was wondering if any of yous knew if theres another option

I wouldnt advise it - have yu every tried putting a spare on to the roof of a landy? - Or tried chasing the fookin thing down the road?
good point!! but then i'd be a laydee about it and not do it myself but get a strapping young man to do it:p
ahhh well just have to put up with it on the back door until i can afford a swing away carrier i guess:rolleyes:

I have a swb series 3 and my spare attaches to the back of the inner bulkhead on a screw down bracket job. I think its much easy cos it weighs nothing down and is easy to get at.

If you don't need the space fit a bracket to the back of the seat bulkhead or use straps to hold it there.

It keeps the wheel clean for a start.

get a carrier off a bonnet and bolt that to the roof, you wont be able to weld it as the roof is aluminum and the bonnet mount is steel. whats another few drips in the grand scheme of things!! :)
