Can I trace the history of my Land Rover?

Hi all, I live in Turkey and have purchased an old Land Rover which I think is a Defender 90 or there abouts is there any way of tracing the history of the car via the chassis number or the number plate? I would like to know its age and exact model

Found mine on the site said it was a series 11a April to March 1969, but all the pictures of those I can find have the recessed front grill, mine has a flat front grill, although it was made for export so that might explain it. if it cant find yours enter the chassis number including the letter at the end

my Series 11a from 1969 has no heater or de mister fitted as standard is this unusual for this model does anybody know?

chassis number and engine are different , put some pics up ,then we might be able to give you a few ideas, a good deal of a series is interchangeable with the later defenders ,so many get altered
