Hi everyone, Just wondered if anyone can offer me a bit of advice on this one?
I am looking at making some sort of side exit exhaust for my freelander TD4 (03 plate) hopeing to have it pop out just behind the back wheel. Am i ok to do away with that big stupid back box and either have a straight through pipe at the back or put something smaller in which i can tuck up out the way so i don't keep bashing it on every pebble the car passes over?
Will my car run just the same without this or is the ECU gonna have a sulk about it and not run right?
Any advice would be grat. Thank you. Chris.

I agrea its a right pain ,think it will sound quite nice , it wont effect performance, but if its too loud then an in line box. . . . .tell yer wot ,you try it furst and let us all know :) :) :)

I have chucked my back box and replaced with a straight piece of pipe with a bracket welded on to attach to rubber mount on left side of where box used to be. It is a little louder but not to bad.

Nice one, Thanks everyone. I'll give it a try with no back box and see how i go on.
I'll keep you informed. Thanks again, chris.
