Hi all.
Just bought a Discovery 3.9 V8 on a 96 model, and have noticed it's leaking transmission fluid from the pipe/join that runs up near the left side of the radiator.. Now usually I would cut the troublesome area out and replace with a new rubber hose and clips -- But the pipe runs straight to the temperature sensor (at least i assume it's the temp' sensor), so my question is this: Can i do away with the temperature sensor and run the replacement pipe straight by it? I'm just worried that disconnecting the sensor and then driving the car could send it into "limp home mode"? Anyway, thought it best to ask before risking it.
Thanks in advance.
