can anyone help me!!??!!

i have a discovery, m reg, 3.9, and for some reason it has started missfiring, badly,

i have checked all the leads and spark plugs, changed the dizzy cap and the basic stuff.

now i'm stuck, my garage want to jump straight in and change the cylinders, but i just wondered if anyone may know what else it may be before i spend a fortune on something that i don't think is the problem (not long replaced cylinders)

yu mite find it better to ask this in the Discovery section and to tell peeps what engine you have got.

I take it it's a V8 and not an MPI. Have you tried cleaning the carbs out and fitting a new fuel filter.

if its injected could be faulty/blocked injectors
