I have a 1999 td5 that wont start after welding no indicators no electric windows no rear wiper m and s on dash and crossed B I disconnected the battery b4 welding the doors open and lock with key fob I dont have the eka code but if I use the key in the door lock it only opens and locks the drivers door... any help please I am thinking of sending my bcu off for a repair whats the going rate many thanks

If the bcu is locked out the car won't start as the car is immobilised.

Did you mean the fob doesn't unlock the car? As if the fob unlocks, it should diasarm the immobiliser too

That's weird. Does the immobiliser LED flash even after it's unlocked?

The crossed B indicates a communication problem with the bcu. It's worth having a look at the IDM (fuse box) as its common for corrosion on the tracks to cause problems. It's cheaper and easier than the bcu so thats where I'd start to look.

Do you have access to Hawkeye or nanocom?
